four ways to style a fancy-ish bucket hat

having curly hair makes wearing hats difficult. hats reduce hair volume and flatten in unflattering ways. they make wearing other accessories tricky (i.e. dangly earrings which usually win every accessory battle I put them in.) and finally, hats don’t provide the freedom I need to break out into dance at any given moment because then my hand is chained to my head and that’s tiring. however, it’s winter aka ~hat szn~ and my girl juli deng hooked me up with the latest addition to her ByJuli collection - a neoprene bucket hat. which is clutch because I’m cold and more lazy about my hair when I’m cozied up inside.

this bucket hat isn’t just ANY bucket hat. this bucket hat like all has you nostalgic for summer and the ‘90’s (cue the opening of billboard dad) but I’m making the case that it’s far too nice to wear to the beach. its fabric and structure maintains itself (fancy) and isn’t that crumpled piece of fabric you threw in your backpack while running out the door thinking it’ll shade you from the sun and keep you cool once you take a dip with it when you were a teenager *exhales*. its medium size provides versatility and demands to be taken seriously. plus the gorgeous and trendy hue screams “STYLE ME! PHOTOGRAPH ME! CHOOSE ME! LOVE ME!” *meredith grey voice*. so style, photograph, choose, and love it I did! below are four ways to style this fancy-ish bucket hat for your consideration:
